1 pointGot the new Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Handset for my son through Amazon. It's the 2GB/16GB model. Costed 9998/- It's a dual sim/dual standby handset. If you want to use the micro sd card port to expand memory then you will have to sacrifice one sim. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 Hexa Core processor with a clock speed of 1.8Ghz, a 5.5" Full HD display IPS panel, 16MP rear and a 5MP front shooter and a 4000maH battery which easily lasts two days with moderate usage. In the box Front Rear Aluminum body with the top and bottom plastic accents for better reception for the antennas they house. Quite iphone like premium build. Very lightweight for such a big phone and very easy to hold in hand. Bottom view of the micro usb port and the mic The left side has only the sim slot Which opens by this provided tool To reveal this sim housing which houses the sim 1 and sim2/micro sd hybrid slot The right side has the power and the volume buttons which are excellently finished and provide a tactile feel The top view which houses the 3.5mm jack, secondary mic, and yes, a IR blaster. You can use the phone to fully control all your electronic devices. A view of the front facing camera and the earpiece. All other sensors (proximity, light etc.) are hidden and not visible to the eye. A view of the rear camera, dual flash and yes, a very fast and excellent fingerprint sensor. A 2Amp fast charger is provided and even though they do not claim fast charging, I can confirm that fast charging works great. A size comparison with my Asus Zenfone 2. Same screen size but still the RN3 is more compact even after having a much bigger battery. It also has more premium feel in hand compared to the Asus which costed almost twice. Yes, it is VoLTE enabled and Jio compatible The APN setting done by the Reliance World chap, in case anyone is interested The preferred network (according to him) has to be at Global. But none worked for EVDO (till now) About Phone The mobile network state stays at connecting while trying to connect to EVDO While it did connect once while it was on 1x Speeds were pathetic on 1x though But amazing speeds on WiFi Some views of the box and SAR values. It is a MADE IN INDIA product. Cheers for now from dkaile Rest, some points I have discussed on the other "Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 supports CDMA" thread. More inputs to follow here.

1 pointreally unfortunate state of affairs. never seen such complete disregard of paying customers
-
1 pointRJio does not have a single paying customer. RCom has lakhs of paying customers. RCom customers are very happy with EVDO and do not want to change. Why should the paying customers of RCom be made to suffer for the future gains of Rjio

1 pointAll those who have sucessfully upgraded to 4g have you tried to use any of the sprint phone with rel 4g
-
1 pointCDMA network is vanished in Pune. Prior to that there was a message "Dear Customer, we are ugrading to 4G. You may face intermittent network issues. We regret the inconvenience and seek support during this process Thx RCOM."

1 pointi doubt that they will issue port code to post paid customers easily. Migration to 4G can not be treated as new connection so 90 days binding cannot be enforced. I too faced issues in getting port codes of 2 of my postpaid nos. i was getting error "sorry your request can not be processed". raised complaines through 198 and got SR nos., mailed to customer care with a copy to appealate authority. after 2 days i was able to get the UPC. One more observation, i got port code easily when i made request with nokia 6265. and when i was trying with nokia lumia 928, was getting errors. not sure, just an observation, though..

1 pointHere in nagpur pro3(rev. network is down. Hybrid (rev. A) latched to 1x. In my new wipod these network is showing in search mode
-
1 pointNo network in sim based reliance cdma phones since last one hour in Nagpur Maharashtra. But the news is that, surprisingly, nv only (without sim/ruim, sprint galaxy s3 and usc note2) phones are showing network also receiving and sending some(not all) calls through. Also enough data transfer to open banking sites, though slow.

1 pointwhen we are making outgoing call pre recorded voice says " CDMA SERVICES ARE GOING STOP BY MAY 31ST" in Hyderabad. Finally it is official
-
1 points6 samsung sprint do not have 1800 or 2300 so, the phone cannot catch 4g. I checked. (room 4g yet to check) so No JIO join.

1 pointThis clip is from Prabhat Khabar, Patna edition of today. Page 9

1 pointI am a Delhi RIM Postpaid customer. There is only 1x since last 3 days in Mayur Vihar 1 area. And there is no text, pre-recorded message etc about anything. Besides that, in today's Patna newspaper 'Prabhat Khabar', it is mentioned that by June 7th, all CDMA customers of Bihar will necessarily be migrated from CDMA to existing Reliance 3G in Bihar. There is no 2G, as their license expired last December, so they have ICRA agreement. But 4G would be launched in September along with Jio, or a little prior to Jio. I think the same is going to happen across India. The real 4G would be launched around September only. Because once they free their CDMA spectrum fully, they will be testing, fine tuning etc and it will take them some time.

1 pointyou can enable required bands via dfs/qxdm but on sprint phone it won't work, by default sprint doesnt have network parameters for band 40 and band 3.. instead it have parameters for 26 and 41..nvitem for band 3, 40 arent active. you can get those parameters from same variant which have band 40 and band 3. again, sprint have network roaming policies which doesnt allow us to connect to 4g. so there is something call as policyman in every sprint phone, that too needed to be patched. Nothing is impossible. Just highly unlikely..

1 pointNow hearing a prerecorded msg every time on dialling number: 31मई से cdma सेवाएं बंद हो रही हैं, नज़दीकी रिलायंस स्टोर से 4g सिम प्राप्त करें बिल्कुल मुफ़्त। So it is 31 may for delhi circle.

1 pointwhat else we can expect from Reliance.. as all the decisions were taken by salaried individuals and owner of the company is least interested in analyzing those decisions and gives go ahead blindly.. secondly, these kind of transitions includes various departments, but in R-ADAG, i never came across a thing, which is known as "SYNCing". 1 pointby using JIO JOIN APP on non LYF phones, you can call any phone in india. Provided you are not using Preview invitee SIM
-
1 pointI am very comfortable with 100 Mb plan now. if Ultra Band plan of JIO implemented in our area (1gb speed) Then I will move to that.
